Founder & Host

Kimia Grigoriev is a Harvard University alumna, holding an ALB ’23 cum laude in Psychology and an ALM ’25 in Psychology from the Harvard Extension School. She is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Kimia is the Founder and President of the Harvard Extension School Psychology Student Club (2023–2025) and serves on the Board of Directors for the Harvard Club of Southern California. She is also the Founder of Learn with Kim (Learnwithkim.com), a nonprofit dedicated to advancing inclusive education and mental health advocacy.

Kimia is the author of the children’s book Zippy Finds a Fit, which helps children—and the adults who care for them—better understand autism, inclusion, and emotional well-being through an engaging story and thoughtful activities.

Her work is grounded in a multidisciplinary approach that integrates psychology, neuroscience, and education to better understand human behavior, learning differences, and mental health challenges—particularly among neurodivergent and underserved populations.

In addition to her academic background, Kimia is a licensed nurse and experienced educator, with more than a decade of leadership in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) education. She has designed and directed inclusive programs for students of all abilities and currently provides behavioral interventions for children and adolescents with autism. Her research includes the use of emerging technologies such as augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) to enhance educational outcomes for neurodivergent learners.

Kimia is deeply committed to reducing mental health stigma and increasing access to inclusive, evidence-based care. She actively advocates for childhood and brain cancer research and was honored with the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015 by the Corporation for National & Community Service and the Office of the President of the United States for her long-standing service and advocacy.

Beyond her clinical and educational work, Kimia maintains a strong interest in the evolution and function of the brain, as well as animal cognition and communication, especially among marine mammals. As an ocean conservation advocate, she works to raise awareness and encourage responsible practices to help preserve marine ecosystems.

Through research, education, clinical care, and public advocacy, Kimia Grigoriev is dedicated to advancing equity in mental health and education, while fostering a deeper and more inclusive understanding of the human mind.
